DESIGN & AESTHETICS

The dial tells the story of Tokyo's natural landscape: a rich brown surface with a striking horizontal texture that evokes the city's sweeping horizon at dusk. A sculptural three-dimensional dial ring frames the scene with commanding depth, while gold-tone accents — including the signature V-shaped 12 o'clock index and matching second hand — pay direct homage to the VANAC heritage. Every element is intentional. Every line, deliberate.

The stainless steel case is finished in Seiko's characteristic combination of mirror polish and hairline brushing — a technique refined over generations that elevates this timepiece far beyond ordinary construction. A box-shaped sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating ensures unobstructed legibility, while the screw-down see-through case back — crowned with the King Seiko crest — invites admiration of the movement within.
