Crafted from ultra-resistant hard metal, the original DiaStar employed an alloy of carbide tungsten powder formed through a meticulous sintering process. Rado DiaStar Original watches are powered by the calibre R764. It is a modified automatic movement based on the popular ETA 2824, featuring the signature antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring along with gold-plated plates and bridges. It provides exceptional precision in measuring hours, minutes, seconds, and date and shows the day complication as well in some timepieces. With a frequency of 28,800bph, R764 provides a whopping 80 hours of power reserve.
